In 2003, the 4As absorbed APG-US (founded in 1990) and took over the Account Planning Awards and Account Planning Conference.

A year later, the 4As Account Planning Awards was renamed to Jay Chiat Planning Awards.

In 2009, it became the Jay Chiat Awards for Strategic Excellence.
