Overview

Company Summary

We are Bailey Lauerman. We represent The Everything In Between. A place. A mindset. A large group of people that can no longer just be flown over. Ignored. De-prioritized. A complex, diverse segment centrally important to scaling businesses and brands. We are Bailey Lauerman and we are made for America. Located right in the center of the nation, we are a fully integrated advertising agency with a range of core competencies including research, strategic planning, branding, creative, design, production, media, social, and PR. Our approach is straightforward out of respect for time, money, and people’s intelligence everywhere. We believe the best way to come up with an amazing idea is by developing a lot of them. From that, the right idea emerges. Our job then is to execute to perfection.

Greg Andersen
CEO
Greg is probably the only advertising executive in America who has been on both the stages of Cannes Lions and the Nebraska State Duck Calling Contest (sadly, a second-place finish). A Nebraska native, after 26 years at some of the world’s top agencies in New York City and Los Angeles, Greg returned home to help write the next chapter of Bailey Lauerman and sharpen the agency’s expertise around The Everything In-BetweenTM. A strategist by trade, Greg challenges the agency to dig deeper and bring forward a complex understanding of America between the coasts.

Prior to BL, he served as both president of RAPP U.S. and managing director of RAPP Los Angeles. Before that, Greg was CEO of BBH U.S., where the agency earned 4A’s Midsize Agency of the Year five out of the seven years of his tenure there. Greg also served on the global board of Effie Worldwide for 11 years. Greg spent his early career in account management and strategic planning at DeVito/Verdi, Euro RSCG, Merkley+Partners and Lowe Worldwide. His client experience ranges from Bosch Automotive, GMC Trucks and Saab to Google, Axe Men’s Grooming Products, Miller Lite, Foster’s Lager and Johnnie Walker.

Carter Weitz
Chairman/Chief Creative Officer
Since 1991, Carter Weitz has helmed Bailey Lauerman’s creative department and has been a member of the firm’s executive management team. Under Carter’s leadership, the agency transformed from a regional shop into a highly competitive destination agency known for its creative firepower and national client roster.

Carter has successfully brought powerful design and meticulously crafted visual systems to the development of highly conceptual and enduring work across a multitude of marketing applications and consumer touchpoints. He leads a talented staff of creative professionals who have developed integrated campaigns for some of America’s most iconic brands, including Disney, AMC Theatres, Pepsi, GE, Bosch, Bass Pro Shops, Conagra Foods, Panda Express, Phillips 66, TD Ameritrade and Union Pacific. Prior to moving into the chairman’s seat in 2013, he spent a number of years serving as the agency’s president.

Gwen Ivey
Head of Account Leadership
Gwen Ivey has 17+ years of strategic brand marketing experience developing and executing integrated campaigns and digital/social/experiential activations for a diverse range of brands including Uber, Lexus, Target and Volkswagen. After spending her career through the lens of a big-agency coastal perspective, she gravitated toward the opportunity to help grow a privately owned agency that specializes in Middle America.

Prior to joining BL, Gwen was an account director at Deutsch LA, leading the Uber business account where she played a pivotal role in Uber’s first national advertising campaign for both general and Hispanic markets. The driver-acquisition-focused “Get Your Side Hustle On” campaign resulted in the highest number of application sign-ups ever achieved in the U.S. and Canada.

Previously, Gwen managed Target’s marketing for key categories such as entertainment, CSR, grocery, and design partnerships. Her standout campaigns included Target’s first live Grammys commercial, the “Share the Force” Star Wars partnership, and a TED conference experiential activation. Earlier in her career, Gwen led integrated model-launch campaigns for Lexus and supported brands like Volkswagen, HTC, and UnitedHealthcare.
