Overview
Company Summary
Just between us, we’re really onto something here at Canvas. When we opened our doors in 2016, we set out to “Challenge the Comfortable,” and it’s really working. There’s something about a mission like that—it creates an ethos that permeates everything we do, encouraging unique problem-solving. Case in point: Our strategists keep finding new ways to drive real solutions to our clients’ most challenging business problems, not just tapping into the zeitgeist but actually defining it. To highlight our “Challenge the Comfortable” mindset, our biddable investment team created custom algorithms that align bids with available vehicle inventory for Genesis and our finance department streamlined billing reconciliation through an innovative use of artificial intelligence. One of the keys to making this work is the “OneCanvas” philosophy that infuses the place. There are six offices, but there are no “outer offices,” if you know what we mean. There are multiple disciplines and a multiplicity of skill-sets, but all of that talent is pulling in the same direction. When you come by to visit, you’ll see fresh-faced first-jobbers working right alongside agency lifers, everyone contributing and learning from each other. Doing great work for our clients is always the priority, but how we get there matters just as much. That way of thinking and working creates a stronger connection to Canvas. It’s no surprise that when you create this sort of people-centric culture and infuse it with a commitment to innovation you start to attract brand marketers from a wide array of categories—and you hang onto them year after year. Fun fact: In eight years of operation, Canvas has lost only one major client and we have a number of blue-chip clients (e.g. McDonald’s, MGM/Amazon Studios) who are also aligned with holding company partners, but they hang onto Canvas as well because of the value and results we deliver every day. Steering this exciting agency are some of the most progressive and diverse leaders in the industry. Nearly 60% of our senior colleagues are female, and we established a reputation for diversity long before mandates became the norm. Their accessibility to the agency and hands-on operations with our brand partners reinforce our belief in camaraderie, superlative service, and delivery of amazing work.
