Kevin Sweeney
CFO
Kevin Sweeney has 18+ agency years of experience and is currently CFO of independent agency Allen & Gerritsen, an integrated creatively led agency located in Boston and Philadelphia. He has consistently helped and led driving results whether it is developing and executing the business strategy, modernizing financial processes, operational process improvement, team management, revenue\cash management and overall P&L influence. Sweeney, an accomplished Finance and Operations leader, is responsible for leading both the agency’s finances and client finances along with the operational duties for the agency.
Prior to A&G, he was Group Vice President, Finance Director at Brooklyn-based HUGE, an advertising agency within the Interpublic Group. Sweeney originally started in the industry at Digitas in Boston, a Publicis company, for 11+ years.
Sweeney is a member of the 4A’s Eastern Region Finance Committee and also a member of The CFO Leadership Council.
He has a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MBA from Boston College.
Monica Lorusso
EVP, Strategy
Now in her forteenth year at A&G, Monica leads our strategy practice across Philadelphia and Boston. Monica is obsessed with what drives audiences and lives by the motto, it’s not just what the data says, it is what the human says. This comes to life through how she and the strategy team design research, identify the moments that matter and develop strategies to drive the greatest impact for both the audience and our clients.
She has deep of experience working across categories including Caron Treatment Centers,Comcast Xfinity, Sunoco, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Villanova University, Temple University, Richard King Mellon Foundation and Gay Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN). One of the highlights of her career was working on a suite of consumer products exclusively for women, including Monistat and e.p.t.
And, the highlight of her life is having three strong-minded young girls and one young boy who will grow up understanding why women should run the world.
Mike Raetsch
Managing Director
Mike serves as Managing Director of A&G. After spending 15 years in New York and Chicago, Mike returned to his eastern Pennsylvania roots by joining A&G back in 2011. During his tenure, Mike has helped spearhead the rapid growth and transformation of A&G's fully integrated offering, helping it to become a leading national independent agency destination. It's hard to find a category or audience Mike hasn't impacted, having led integrated marketing partnerships for brands like Verizon, Comcast Xfinity, Caron Treatment Centers, Stanley Black & Decker, Capital BlueCross, Tower Health, Temple University & Temple Health, Sunoco, Yuengling, Philadelphia Flyers, Visit Philadelphia, e.p.t & Monistat, and the National Organization on Disability.
Mike brings a collaborative, sleeves rolled up mentality to all A&G client partnerships, setting the parameters for what success means, ensuring we always deliver against that vision for your business, and creating a partnership experience rooted in ongoing business value and impact. Jen Putnam
Chief Creative Officer
Jennifer’s career arc reveals her unquenchable thirst for memorable and impactful advertising, purpose-driven marketing, and innovation. From traditional ad agencies Leo Burnett, DDB and Ogilvy to the forefront of digital at Digitas and SapientNitro, Jen’s unstoppable curiosity, strategic mind, and passion for relationship-building have made her a strategic and creative force.
She’s created breakthrough work for the Red Cross, P&G Women’s Products, Rue La La, General Motors and other clients across the financial, automotive, hospitality and B2B categories. From the moment she arrived to A&G in 2015, Jen has overseen the development of all the creative work across Boston & Philadelphia which includes Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, Sunoco, The Museum of Science, Boston, Caron Treatment Centers, and all pro -bono initiatives. Jen is also deeply passionate about the non-profit sector and is an active mentor and advocate for women in business and in life.
She also served as the inaugural SVP/Creative for online e-commerce pioneer Rue La La, a role suited for her given her passion to communicate across contemporary channels – particularly to women – and her visionary leadership style. Through her career Jen has worked with clients from Anheuser Busch to Kellogg’s to Procter & Gamble teen and women’s products. And she has helmed cross-channel work for Olay, IHG and General Motors.
Darshan Sampathu
EVP, Analytics
Darshan leads A&G’s analytics practice. His passion for understanding how human behavior is influenced by high-impact creative fits perfectly with his mission at A&G - to help clients achieve optimal results through a deep understanding of their audiences. Skills gained both, in higher education (MBA, MSIS) and in practical learning, during his 13 years in the creative agency world, has led to great results across a diverse set of clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Caron Treatment Centers, Fresenius Medical Care, First Citizens Bank, Boston University, Volvo, MFS Investment Management, Progressive Insurance and Comcast Xfinity among others.
During his 13 year tenure, he has transformed A&G’s analytics practice with new rigor and perspective for how to use data to uncover human truths. This not only has led to supporting creative inspiration but has helped clients have confidence in their marketing investment. His work on various clients has allowed Darshan to apply data-science techniques to a variety of data sets to help our partners model the right marketing investment for the most impactful long term results.
