Joe DeMiero
Chief Executive Officer
By day, Joe is the CEO of Hawkeye, the largest CRM agency in North America, which specializes in experience orchestration across all channels and points along the customer journey, working with clients like Google, AT&T, Capital One, and USAA. By night, Joe is a husband, father, basset hound rescuer, and amateur wine snob.
Joe has helped lead digital transformation initiatives for brands like Lexus, T-Mobile, Honda/Acura, and Procter & Gamble, while serving as head of digital at Team One (Saatchi & Saatchi/Publicis Groupe’s premium brand agency), and prior to that, as head of the Razorfish Los Angeles office.
In 2016, Joe founded TiltShift, the world’s first VR/AR/xR agency, which created industry-leading xR experiences for brands like Lexus, Procter & Gamble, and Whirlpool.
Mike McGeeney
Chief Marketing Officer
Mike joined Hawkeye in 2016, and has been responsible for overseeing and managing our Client Services practice for Capital One, Fannie Mae and First National Bank of Omaha, helping to manage and lead a team of over 50 dedicated team members across account, strategy and creative. Since being appointed to CMO, Mike has also taken on all business development, outreach and PR duties for the agency.
Over the course of his professional career, Mike has served in several business leadership roles. His diverse range of experience has helped him develop an expansive understanding and expertise encompassing global clients from the financial, automotive, telecomm, energy and technology sectors. Mike has helped Fortune 500 companies unlock the power of the digital space by blending product and marketing innovation.
Mike brings with him almost 15 years of award-winning direct marketing solutions for client partners across almost every industry vertical.
Ian Sohn
President & Chief Client Officer
Ian is the President and Chief Client Officer at Hawkeye working with all client teams. He previously served as CEO of Wunderman Thompson Central (Chicago, Minneapolis, Austin, Memphis). Prior to that he was Managing Director of SapientRazorfish in Chicago; Executive Vice President of Digital and Social at Ogilvy & Mather Chicago where he built and led a team of award-winning digital strategists and founded the agency’s social media practice; and global partnership lead for a division of Nokia.
Ian is particularly proud of his passion for selling innovative ideas and solutions, the trust his clients put in him, and the joy he takes in finding and developing talent. He is a strong advocate for balance and compassionate leadership in the workplace, which he writes and speaks about often.
John Tedstrom
Chief Strategy Officer
John leads the strategy team and has more than 30 years of B2B and B2C marketing with a focus on strategy and account management in direct response, CRM, digital and integrated multi-channel marketing. He has worked with clients such as Alltel, Agilent Technologies, Ben & Jerry’s, Capital One, Charles Schwab, Delta Dental, Fannie Mae, GTE, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, NCAA, Pizza Hut, Sprint, Terminix, TruGreen and USAA.
John has spent a large part of his career in telecommunications, financial services and healthcare. Prior to joining Hawkeye, John was vice president of client services at Agency.com, a leading pure play Internet agency, and has had various database marketing, consulting, account service, strategy and integration roles across the Rapp Collins and DDB networks.
Sandy Kolkey
Chief Integration Officer
Sandy Kolkey leads the Account Leadership function across all Hawkeye clients and brings over 30 years of brand and business-building marketing experience to Hawkeye and its clients. Since arriving at Hawkeye in 2015, Sandy has become an ambassador for, and a true believer in the power of data and is committed to helping clients become believers as well through the only thing that works: their business growth.
He spent 18 years with Leo Burnett and 7 years with FCB, including a stint as president of the New York office. At Leo Burnett he was the agency lead behind Procter & Gamble’s “Like a Girl” program that aired during the 2015 Super Bowl and won a Titanium Lion at Cannes and an Emmy Award.
Janet Barker-Evans
SVP, Executive Creative Director
With a background that includes retail marketing, shopper, promo, digital, social and brand, Janet is a fully integrated creative leader who has been directing multidimensional efforts for her clients for years. Past clients have included Kmart, CVS, Florida Blue, USPS, P&G, Snickers and M&M Mars.
She and her teams have been the recipients of dozens of creative and marketing awards, including Reggies, Effies, Golden Eagles, Echoes, Tempos, PRO Awards, Rx Awards, APMA Globes and John Caples awards. In addition, Janet regularly serves as a judge at award shows, including Cannes Lions. She was named Woman of the Year by WDMI in 2006 and was a DMA Rising Star recipient in 2008. She was also named 2018 Marketer of the Year by Chicago’s CADM.
Wes Wright
Managing Director, Digital
Wes brings insight, creativity and more than 25 years of experience to the digital department. When he isn’t using his impressive skill set at work, you’ll find him scuba diving in Mexico or Key West.
His focus includes strategy, website development, campaign management, email marketing, e-commerce, e-learning, games, apps, social and search.
He’s delivered award-winning results for clients that include Alltel, American Airlines, Anheuser-Busch, BASF, Ben & Jerry’s, Dell, Habitat for Humanity, Jason’s Deli, JCPenney, Kimberly-Clark, Lockheed Martin, Make-A-Wish Foundation, NASA, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Travelocity, UnitedHealthcare, UN Women and the U.S. Air Force.
Zach Baze
Chief Intelligence Officer
Zach is Chief Intelligence Officer for the Leo Burnett Group, which includes Leo Burnett, Hawkeye, Arc, Fallon and other leading agencies. In this role, Zach oversees the data design, analytics, research and growth strategy disciplines, ensuring the Group’s industry-best data and research assets are deployed to strategically solve client business problems.
Prior to joining the Leo Burnett Group, Zach was Chief of Data Strategy at Epsilon, leading brand planning, research, data design and analytics for the company. Zach was Founding Partner at Fact & Fiction, a digital marketing firm in Boulder, CO that Ad Age called “the fastest growing agency of 2016.” Zach has also served as Group Planning Director at VML, and led brand-side marketing as Vice President of Marketing for AMC Theatres.
