Company Summary
Ad Age Best Agency Culture 2022 Ad Age Best Place to Work 2020 Ad Age 2019 Small Agency of the Year GOLD (75-150 Employees) At The VIA Agency, our purpose is to help clients grow through creativity. In order to help our clients grow, we need to ensure that we always offer fresh perspectives, challenging insights and creativity. To us, “creativity” is greater than creative. The latter is an important output of our thinking; the former is a characteristic that each VIAn is responsible for cultivating. Creativity is our deliverable and we have taken great care to develop an environment and agency culture that nurtures and values it. We do not do traditional media planning and buying, but we provide guidance to our clients through experience planning, which is a proprietary process that choreographs how a consumer experiences an idea.

Leeann Leahy
CEO
If you drink it, eat it, clean with it, fly on it, invest with it or watch it, it’s likely a brand Leeann has worked on. She grew up as a planner at big and small agencies in NYC working on clients like Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Budweiser, McDonald’s, and JPMorgan Chase, to name a few. In that capacity,
she was one of the most-awarded planners, earning 13 Effies (U.S. and global), international ANDYs, and multiple Jay Chiat Awards. For the past nine years at VIA, she has helped raise the profile for a broad
roster of clients, including ARM & HAMMER, L.L.Bean, Chick-fil-A, and Lowe’s. As creator of VIA’s “Go. Do.” series, she’s helped make VIA one of the best places to work in advertising. Just ask Ad Age (every year).
David Burfeind
CSO
After 15 years in strategy, marketing and finance for NBC in NYC, and Universal Pictures in LA, Burf
escaped city life and media for Maine and a tractor mower, which allows him to practice Zen and the art of lawn maintenance. With VIA since 2000, he’s the big-picture brains of the operation, digesting and dispersing his interpretation of consumer behaviors, desires and emerging trends. He’s worked on just about every facet of brand strategy for brands across a range of categories, from ARM & HAMMER,L.L.Bean, Lowe’s, and Perdue to CarGurus, T. Rowe Price, Chick-fil-A, and Welch’s.
Ivan Salazar
CFO
Ivan joined VIA in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. With over 20 years of advertising and marketing agency expertise, he has a deep understanding of our industry. And his ability to drive smart financial and operational strategies, from startups to multinationals, helps drive VIA’s continued growth and financial results. Most recently, at MRM Worldwide, a global digital agency, Ivan served as EVP of Financial Operations and Global CFO. Prior to that, he was with Y&R Brands in various financial leadership positions, including SVP, Global Client Finance Director; CFO, Y&R Advertising Latin America; and CFO for Wunderman’s flagship office in NYC. Before his life in advertising, Ivan started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co.
John Coleman
Chairman & Founder
A true Mainer, John loves to fly fish and play his guitar, but not nearly as much as he loves his wife and three kids. He has a degree in mechanical engineering plus an M.B.A., and in 1993, he started an ad agency, believing he’d found a better way. We now know he did.
