Richard Coad
Chief Creative Officer
Richard M. Coad is a nationally recognized creative leader. He’s all about helping clients distinguish their brands through creative thinking. “Great creative is about forging new emotional connections between your brand and your customer. There’s so much sameness in advertising today. To be successful, a brand not only has to be relevant, but look and feel different from other brands.”
Before joining MDB Communications, he was Executive Creative Director for the Publicis Groupe in Chicago. In that role, he was the creative architect behind the idea that brought the Subway restaurant chain to national prominence; an advertising initiative that was not only “different,” but resulted in a 40% increase in same day sales the first week of the campaign, went viral the second, and ultimately served as the catalyst that doubled the chain’s size in three years.
He has served in a similar capacity for Saatchi & Saatchi NYC, Hal Riney & Partners, Bozell and Young & Rubicam. His work has brought insight, humor and emotion to such well known brands as Gallo Wines, Cheerios, John Deere, Nuveen Investments, The Principal Financial Group, Whirlpool, ATA Airlines and The Chicago Tribune.
Carole Reuschle
VP/Media Director
Carole Reuschle has more than 25 years of media planning and buying experience. Across a full spectrum of media types: television, radio, print, out-of-home, and digital. She has worked for clients large and small, and on consumer-facing, B-to-B, and advocacy/thought leader campaigns. She relishes the integration of media and creative strategy development, and creating win-win media partnerships.
She has long been a proponent of non-traditional communication channels. She was integral in the development of Doner’s brand response marketing unit, which incorporates media strategies designed to build brands while simultaneously generating cost efficient leads and sales. At Doner, she led national accounts like AARP, ADT Home Security, Progressive Insurance, FILA, and Jos. A. Bank.
As VP/Director of Media at Carton Donofrio Partners, she was a member of the Executive Management Team, where she oversaw the strategic communication direction for all client accounts, including National Association of Realtors, Calvert Investments, Walden University and ITT Defense. She also managed the relationship between CDP and their national buying partner, Carat, for services such as Network and Cable Television, Hispanic TV and Radio, and Direct Response TV.
She has deep retail and transactional media knowledge, extensive B-to-B marketing analysis, planning and buying, and classic packaged good training from Lintas/NY.
Carole graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management. And while a proud Gamecock, she also finds herself cheering on the Midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy, in support of her eldest son and his comrades.
