Richard Sullivan
Founding Principal
Richard C. Sullivan Sr. is the founding principal of Red Square Agency. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from The University of Alabama in 1970 and earned a Master of Arts degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Alabama in 1971. Richard began his advertising career in July of 1971 with J.H. Lewis Advertising, of which he became vice president and equity partner. In 1974, he joined Barney & Patrick Advertising as vice president, and in 1977 co-founded the company now known as Red Square Agency. Richard has worked on brands like Terminix, BellSouth, Chevrolet, Hardees and ServiceMaster. Richard has been affiliated as a member and served on the board of directors with numerous professional and civic organizations. In 1990, he received the Silver Medal Award from the American Advertising Federation Mobile Bay in recognition of lifetime achievement in the industry. In his spare time, Richard is an avid golfer and water sportsman.
Rich Sullivan Jr.
CEO/Executive Creative Director
Rich Sullivan Jr. serves as president/executive creative director of Red Square Agency. A 2000 summa cum laude graduate of The University of Alabama, Rich was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa and served as president of Jason’s Honorary. Rich joined the agency in May 2000 and worked as an account executive and account manager before being named director of business development in January 2003. Rich became president of the agency in February 2004 and oversees day-to-day operations. As executive creative director, Rich’s print, broadcast and interactive work has earned national recognition including numerous ADDYs, multiple “Copywriter of the Year” Awards from the American Advertising Federation – Mobile Bay, several Telly Awards, a 2007 W3 Award from the International Academy of Visual Arts and a 2008 WEBBY Award, hailed by the New York Times as “the Oscars of the Internet.” Sullivan also reviews albums and writes features for American Songwriter Magazine and has been published in Song, a collection of songwriter interviews.
Sarah Jones
President
Sarah Jones, president of Red Square Agency, joined the agency in 2007. Sarah began working as an account executive and then moved up to senior account executive/
account supervisor over the agency’s largest account. She now manages client relations in addition to the account service and public relations teams, and also works on business development efforts for the agency.
Sarah’s brand experience includes Victoria’s Secret, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Cherokee Nation Entertainment, Brookwood Medical Center, IP Casino, PCI Gaming, Natural Decorations Inc., Hangout Music Festival, the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business and more.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Texas A&M University as well as a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University. Prior to joining Red Square in 2007, Sarah managed marketing for Caldwell Watson Real Estate Group, a prominent commercial developer in Houston, Texas. Other experience includes a stint with Mr. Youth LLC, working on the Victoria’s Secret PINK account.
Elena Freed
EVP + Chief Operating Officer
Elena Freed joined Red Square Agency with ten years of marketing and public relations experience in New York and Boston. She directed marketing strategies for The Deal LLC, a b2b media company, and also had a stint at Regan Communications Group. A native New Yorker, she is a graduate of Union College and holds master’s degrees in print and broadcast journalism from Emerson College in Boston. Elena has worked on strategic marketing initiatives with clients including Ernst & Young, KPMG, Churchill Financial, PwC, National City Capital Markets, CIT and Merrill Corporation. Her brand experience includes Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi, Google, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Foosackly’s Chicken Fingers, Hurricane Brewing, and Zea Rotisserie & Grill. She received first place at American Business Media’s Media Marketing Awards in May 2007 and an Award of Excellence from the Business Marketing Association in 2003. Elena is a board member of the American Advertising Federation of Mobile Bay and volunteers her time with the Mobile County Special Olympics. An avid runner, Elena completed the New York City Marathon in 2007. She also enjoys golfing and frantically rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Tina Delaporte
Vice President of Media
Tina Delaporte joined Red Square in the spring of 2011. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in advertising, Tina went on to work for several well-known agencies such as J. Walter Thompson, Fletcher Martin & Associates, Mullen, and Rubin Postaer and Associates where she posted more than $33 million in media buys. Prior to joining Red Square, Tina worked as a Media specialist for GodwinGroup in Jackson, Miss. She has well over a decade of experience in media research, planning and purchasing, with an extensive background and expertise in broadcast media. Tina has worked on several large accounts such as American Honda, Arby’s, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Charles Schwab, Ford Dealers Association, General Motors, Grand Casinos, Kraft, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Sprint, Twentieth Century Fox, United States Marine Corps and Wachovia. In her spare time, Tina enjoys waterskiing, fishing, riding dirt bikes, shooting pool, golfing, drawing, reading, and spending time with her two sons. She is also a member of the Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore and the Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club.
