Overview
Company Summary
Nashville-based bohan is an independent, full-service advertising agency. We are straight-talking, advertising experts that grow the brands we serve by creating ideas that work. We challenge the status quo, mining for insights to inform our creative product while searching for new ways to take advantage of different mediums. We’re also big on transparency. Being upfront and honest in how we do business has proven to be good business. And while other agencies talk of partnership, we live it. Every day, and in one unique, collaborative way. No two clients are the same. Instead of identically structured teams representing various departments, we assemble a combination of specialists—a Core Band—to best compliment a brand’s needs. While each brand may have a multi-disciplinary Core Band at bohan, each one is nimble, enough so that the day-to-day team flexes in accordance to different projects and deliverables. We encourage clients to be active participants in their band. Clients not only have a seat at the table, but they’re invited to have their own offices in our building. Our award winning digital team has created programs for clients who want to build online communities of passionate followers for their brands, generate constant buzz and show tangible ROI for the investment.

Shari Day
President/CEO
Shari is president/CEO of BOHAN Advertising, an 110-employee agency that has won an Advertising Age culture award and has been named the Advertising Age Southeast Small Agency of the year. She joined BOHAN in 2010 and has helped guide its performance and rise to national recognition.
Shari began her career as a broadcast producer in Orlando and then spent 19 years growing ad agency Davis-Newman-Payne in Knoxville, Tennessee. She created national and global marketing strategies for Sea Ray Boats, Boston Whaler and Azimut Yachts, and she successfully positioned regional grocery store chain Food City to compete head-to-head with national brands that were encroaching on its turf. She also developed comprehensive marketing and advertising strategies for The University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Brian Gilpatrick
Managing Partner
Brian is our resident chief behavioral scientist, para-psychologist, ethnographer, cultural
anthropologist and both the strategic offensive and defensive coordinator for our
agency team.
As head of BOHAN’s customer insights and planning discipline, Brian’s job and his
passion is digging up the buried bones of unique business niches, customer
motivations, cultural nuances and unique research methodologies – then piecing them
all together into strategies that solve business problems and seize opportunity in
transformational ways.
And he’s been doing it here for 30 years.
Jon Arnold
Executive Creative Director/Managing Partner
Jon Arnold will always win the contest of whose birthplace has the coolest name.
His answer to that getting-to-know-you question is Coolville, Ohio. Honest.
Beyond having that cool birthplace, Jon makes creative projects shine.
He’s done that for Ford Motor Company, the NFL and Turner Classic Movies and
many other clients at agencies such as Mullen, CORE and TBWA Chiat/Day before joining BOHAN. He’s one of the quiet creatives whom clients cherish.
Farley Day
Managing Partner
Farley Day has more than two decades of experience in the marketing world, and he has developed a passion for customer engagement with a clear message and the motivation to act upon it.
