As leader of Y&R Brands main regional office (Miami) in Latin America, Eric ensures that client needs and regional resources are aligned to maximize satisfaction and business results. Part ad-guy, part-psychologist and all about performance, Eric gains most satisfaction with from BIG ideas that create BIG results. Sadly, Eric has yet to beat any of his kids in Call of Duty.
Eric’s career began in Puerto Rico, he moved to Miami, has spent a lot of time in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina and now jumps around a lot between New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
Emilio Alvarez-Recio III
New Business Director
Emilio began his marketing career in New York 20 years ago at Saatchi and Saatchi´s specialized division for Hispanic market. He subsequently joined Univision, the largest Hispanic TV network in the US, where his role as Manager of National Spot Sales was instrumental to the company growth during his 8 year stint.
His next challenge took him to Miami, the Latin American Headquarters of Metro Goldwyn Mayer where as VP Latin America he worked for five years successfully leading the introduction of three new cable channels throughout the region.
Emilio later joined the WPP family as Regional Director of Branded Entertainment where he serviced all WPP advertising agencies in the Latin American region by identifying product placement and integration opportunities for clients.
Today, he is responsible for the acquisition and development of new business in support of Y&R Latin America

Andy is a brand, marketing and communications strategist with over 25 years experience in the US, Latin America and South Africa. In 1994, he was transferred by Y&R to Miami to head up planning and research for the Latin American region. He led strategy development for such clients as: Aero México, AT&T, Citibank, CNN, DHL, Ericsson, Ford, KFC, Sony, Telefonica and Texaco. He launched BrandAsset valuator in the top 5 LATAM markets and trained and developed the region’s network of planners and researchers.
Razor-sharp insights, unrelenting creativity combined with a marvelous South African accent makes Andy’s Spanish delivery another tangible example of how we “Resist the Usual”.

Sybil joined Y&R in 1997 and today she manages the region-wide marketing communications efforts for Dell Computers in Latin America. Labeled by some the “Queen of Dell” Sybil has presided over this account for 13 years and seen the client’s business grow from a one-country marketing assignment to a region-wide marketing juggernaut that will generate over $1 Billion dollars in revenue for Dell in 2010.
Sybil’s career began with Ogilvy & Mather in Buenos Aires working on the American Express account. She holds a B.A. in marketing from the University of Buenos Aires and a master’s degree in getting phenomenal results for Dell.
