Mike Sheldon
Chief Executive Officer, North America
Mike was just named CEO, North America overseeing both the LA and NY offices of Deutsch. Prior to that, Mike spent the last 17 years growing the LA office from a handful of people into a fully integrated 630-person agency with clients like VW, Sprint, Target, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Dr Pepper and Snapple among others. In fact, Deutsch LA is now the largest agency on the West Coast. Mike has been featured on Good Morning America, CBS Super Bowl Preview, CNN, CNBC, and NPR, as well as in newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and The New York Times. Prior to Deutsch, Mike spent time at TBWA\Chiat\Day and Y&R. He also built a $70 million investment firm during the late 80s. After numerous ambulance rides, Mike hung up his motocross boots and now obsessively enjoys golf, guitar and acting as his family¹s private pilot.
Pete Favat
Chief Creative Officer, North America Officer
As North American Chief Creative Officer, Pete works with the LA and NY offices to deliver award-winning work for Deutsch clients. Since joining Deutsch LA as a partner and chief creative officer in 2013, Pete has led transformative creative work on behalf of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Dr Pepper, as well as helped bring eight new clients into the fold for Deutsch LA. His advertising career spans many countries and nearly 30 years of iconic work for well known household brands including Coca Cola, Converse, Progressive, VW, Volvo and Ocean Spray, among others. Prior to joining Deutsch LA, Pete spent 13 years at Arnold Worldwide where he served as CCO. During his tenure, Pete co-created the Truth campaign that was named one of Ad Age’s “Campaigns of the 21st Century” and led the creation of many memorable advertising icons, including Progressive’s Flo, the Ocean Spray’s Growers and Converse’s Grandmama. Pete’s work has earned numerous Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, CLIOs, Kelly Awards and ANDYs, as well as three Emmy Awards and three United Nations Awards for Public Health. Additionally, Pete received the the Prism Award for directing MTV’s highly acclaimed documentary “I can’t breathe.” Outside of work, Pete’s got a knack for building things. He designed and built a sustainable LEED certified home that’s been featured on on PBS’ “This Old House.” He also builds furniture in his spare time and plans to pursue that career in his next life. His proudest accomplishment to date is being Dad to Cian and Juliette, and of course, Buddy the chocolate lab.
Winston Binch
Chief Digital Officer, North America
Winston is responsible for agency-wide digital strategy and vision, operations, and business and invention development. He joined Deutsch LA in 2011 and built a team of 190 digital specialists, as a result, digital is now 35% of that office's revenue. In 2014, Creativity named Deutsch LA “Innovators of the Year” and Fast Company recognized them as one of the “Most Innovative Companies of the Year.” Winston was tapped in 2015 to oversee digital for North America. Prior to Deutsch, he worked at CP+B as Partner/Managing Director, Interactive, where he led digital and worked on brands like Burger King, Domino's, Best Buy, and American Express. His efforts helped CP+B win Interactive Agency of the Year at Cannes multiple times, and his work has been recognized with awards, such as Cyber Lions, Andys, Grand EX, Gold UX and Clios. In 2011, Winston was also named one of iMedia's top 25 Internet marketing leaders and innovators. Before joining CP+B, he worked at R/GA on the Nike account, and played guitar in a math rock band, Stereobate. Winston sits on the Google Creative Council and is founder of Boulder Digital Works at the University of Colorado, a digital education initiative focused on developing digital leaders. He enjoys time with his wife and two children, making and listening to music, and rapid mountain descents on alpine skis and mountain bikes.
