Overview
Company Summary
We have a simple philosophy: Never underestimate the underdog. After all, challenger brands may not be the top dogs in their categories, but they're resourceful. And they have the heart, guts, and desire to take on that top dog. That’s where LOOMIS comes in. We challenge underdogs to think differently and find new ways of doing things. We help them find their voice, and make sure they’re heard. And we urge them to blaze trails the top dogs won’t, or simply can’t, to make sure they stand out from the pack. Underdogs inspire us. LOOMIS exists to help them win. Our experience spans many different categories, but we are especially deep with restaurant, retail, healthcare, and franchise-based clients.

As our agency president, Mike is our alpha, leading our pack with over 30 years of experience in the agency business.
Mike began his career with formal training in strategic planning while at J. Walter Thompson, before going on to amass considerable experience guiding strategic efforts for a wide variety of clients across a broad spectrum of industries. Before coming to LOOMIS in 2001, Mike led successful agencies, one earning ADWEEK Magazine recognition as “The Hottest Shop in the Southwest” for two consecutive years. As a leader, Mike focuses on building the kind of company that delivers peak career experiences for his talented team. Mike is a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, enjoys travel near and far, and he loves his Texas A&M Aggie football. For Mike, Nirvana is participating in any of these activities with his family.

After joining LOOMIS in 1991, Julie worked to refine the agency’s approach to impact measurement and is credited with the development and implementation of a powerful enterprise work flow and project management system that serves as a point of distinction among the agency peer set. Josh Whitaker
Director of Digital Strategy & Partner
Josh is a competitor with an entrepreneurial spirit and a head for big ideas. While in his late teens and early 20s, Josh made a living as a professional off-road motorcycle racer traveling the world for competitions. After earning his degree in marketing, he assumed the top North American marketing role for KTM Motorcycles and later joined Red Bull in an event marketing leadership position. His unique background as a former action sports athlete complemented with marketing expertise helped him create and execute some of Red Bull’s most successful early events, including the famous Arc de Triomphe New Year’s Eve motorcycle jump at the Paris Casino in Las Vegas. Josh was an early digital adopter and joined the LOOMIS team in 2011 to build the agency’s digital discipline. He leads a team consisting of creative and technical talent that consistently elevates the agency’s game.

Dax Hardage
Digital Creative Director & Partner
Dax launched his career in 2001 with the collaborative creation of a successful digital magazine focused on skateboard culture. The experience ignited a love for creating in the digital space, and his talent was quickly spotted by one of the largest privately-held digital agencies in the country. As creative director for imc2, Dax was the driving creative force behind innovative work for a number of Procter & Gamble brands, including Crest, Secret, and Prilosec. His aptitude for the unexpected drew the attention of Louisville Slugger and the agency succeeded in resurrecting the iconic but wavering brand with award-wining work under Dax’s creative leadership.
Success in the big agency world was rewarding, but Dax is an entrepreneur at heart, so he bet on himself and started his own digital agency with partner, Josh Whitaker. In 2011, Dax and Josh were recruited by Mike Sullivan to help LOOMIS establish its digital discipline. The duo helped engineer a critical transition in the agency’s history and now lead a thriving digital practice.
A devout believer and a devoted father and husband with a low-key demeanor, one would never guess Dax once tore up motocross tracks as a local pro racer. His ex-moto motto: “Dirtbikes are cool, goodness is divine, podcasts are a necessity, but good dirtbike podcasts are life giving.”
