See It & Be It: A Panel About Women & Advertising

Gender equality was a hot topic at the 4A’s Transformation Conference in March 2016. Ad veteran Madonna Badger opened the Women, Advertising and the Future panel up with the personal story of how she lost her three daughters and parents in a Christmas Day fire in 2011. After spending a year in Arkansas, she returned to her agency, Badger & Winters. But she wanted to use her advertising and communications skills for a purpose. So, in January, she created the #WomenNotObjects initiative. She was joined by 4A’s President/CEO Nancy Hill, Aaron Sherinian, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, United Nations Foundation and Shelley Zalis, CEO and Founder, The Girls’ Lounge.
